Biography
Suryakumar was born on September 14, 1990 in Gazipur, Uttar Pradesh, located in Southwestern India. The name Surya in Sanskrit means the Sun God.
The Yadav family lived in Gazipur for a long time, but after Surya’s future father was offered a position as an engineer at the state power plant, the family moved to one of the urban districts of Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The future champion spent his childhood here in Mumbai. Here the boy takes his first steps in sports.
The child’s first introduction to cricket took place under the guidance of his uncle Vinod Yadav, who coached street teams in the city’s Chembur district. The successes in the game that the 10-year-old boy demonstrated did not go unnoticed by his father, who decided to develop his son’s skills and abilities in sports. Soon Suryakumar was sent to a children’s sports camp in Anushakti Nagar at the electric company BARC, where his father worked.
The first training sessions of Suryakumar and training at the sports academy
The training in the camp also benefited the boy. After two years of his patronage, the camp management enrolled in the sports Academy of the Elves of Vengsarkar. As of 2002, it is one of the leading specialized sports educational institutions for cricket in the state of Maharashtra. After graduating from Suryakumar Yadav Academy at the age of 22, he enters the College of Arts, Commerce and Science in Pillai. From this moment, his official sports career as a cricketer begins.
In 2009, a young athlete was offered to play for the team of the amateur club “Parsi Jimhana” from Mumbai. The team at that time was already well known in Mumbai and in the state of Maharashtra.
